We began the week with a visit from our Mystery Reader, Shahad. Thank you for sharing two underwater animal books to our kindergartners.
During our ELA block, we reviewed many of our literature standards. Our story of the week was Clark the Shark by Bruce Hale. We retold the story with details, asked and answered questions about key details, and identified story elements.
In writer's workshop, we began our all about underwater animal books. We reviewed our research and compiled three facts, then we wrote and illustrated our animal facts, and then we created a table of contents to help the reader understand what our non-fiction text. We will publish our books and next week and share. We can't wait for you to see our all about writing!
