Week 36 Highlights and Oak Park Conservatory Field Trip!!

What a fun and busy short week!

Instead of a story of the week, our kindergartners shared their favorite titles during our Book Talks. Take a peek at our kindergarten readers posing with their summer reading suggestions.

During Writer's Workshop, we composed our own informational texts about plants.  We created a title page, table of contents, and three fact pages all about plants.  Take a peek at our kindergartners sharing their writing with their classmates.  We are so proud of our kindergarten writers!

We culminated our plant study with a trip to the Oak Park Conservatory.  We had a blast learning about plant adaptations and exploring the different Mediterranean, Rainforest, and Desert Rooms.  Take a peek at our kindergarten scientists investigating plants at the conservatory.

A very big THANK YOU to all the parents who donated time and supplies to help with our Pizza and Play party.  The kiddos had a wonderful time despite the weather conditions.
